Desert justice / Paul S. Powers.

Sonny Tabor is an outlaw relentlessly pursued for the reward being offered for his capture, a man accused of a string of murders and feared for his accuracy with a gun. But Sonny is a wrongfully accused young man, forced into a life of continual flight, who uses his guns only in self-defence or in battle against truly lawless men. Four short stories follow Sonny's life; from being captured with another outlaw and peremptorily sentenced to hang, coming across members of a black-shirted gang known as the Blackbirds and mistaken for a lawman, then being abandoned in the desert handcuffed to an Arizona Ranger without food, water, or horses. Finally Kid Wolf rounds up Sonny Tabor, only to discover that he is innocent of the crime with which he has been charged. The challenge is to get Sonny out of jail and find the guilty party.
